Portfolio Members
Trading Metrics is built for collaboration. Whether you are running a prop firm, managing a trading team, or simply sharing a workspace with a mentor, the Members tab allows you to track individual performance and control exactly what each person can see and do inside your portfolio.

The Member Performance Table
The main screen provides a high-level leaderboard and status check for every user in the portfolio. You can quickly assess who is driving profits and who is currently carrying risk.
The table displays:
- Identity: Name, E-mail, and their assigned Role.
- Trade Status: Number of Open, Win, and Loss trades logged by that specific user.
- Profitability: The user’s individual Profit Factor, Realized P&L, Realized Profit, and Realized Loss.
- Active Exposure: Potential Profit, Potential Loss, Potential Profit %, and Potential Loss %. (This is crucial for managers to see if a specific trader is over-leveraged on their open positions).

Managing User Roles & Permissions
As the creator of the portfolio, you have the ability to restrict what other members can do. To change a user’s permissions, simply click on their name in the table and select a new Role from the dropdown menu.
Here is exactly what each role is permitted to do:
Owner
Full control over the portfolio. The Owner can manage all trades, patterns, plans, transactions, and users. They are the only ones who can modify core portfolio settings (like the base currency or daily max loss), promote members to Manager or Owner, and delete the portfolio entirely.
Manager
Operational control. Managers can manage all trades, patterns, plans, and transactions within the workspace. They can also manage Trader and all Viewer users, and view active invite codes. However, they cannot modify the core portfolio settings or alter the permissions of other MANAGERS or the OWNER.
Trader
Personal execution only. Traders can create and manage their own trades only. They have full visibility into the workspace—meaning they can view all portfolio data including other trades, patterns, plans, and transactions—but they cannot modify other users’ trades or manage user permissions.
Viewer · Full access
Read-only, everything visible. Sees all portfolio data — analytics, trades, patterns, plans, assets, transactions, and member data — but cannot create, edit, or delete anything. Suited to investors, partners, or stakeholders who need the complete picture.
Viewer · Financials
Read-only, no member data. Sees analytics, trades, patterns, plans, assets, and transactions, but not member data — no per-member reports and no member roster. Suited to accountants, auditors, or silent partners.
Viewer · Trades only
Read-only, trading activity only. Sees analytics, trades, patterns, and plans only. Cannot see assets, transactions, or member data. This is the default role applied to anyone who joins with an invite code, so expect to promote new members deliberately. Suited to trading-group followers or students.

Note for Solo Traders: Even if you trade alone, you will appear in this table as the default OWNER. You can use this screen to verify your own aggregate performance metrics for this specific portfolio.
Suspended members
Membership is tied to seats, so a member can lose access without anyone removing them.
If your seat count shrinks — you reduce purchased seats, a seat package expires, or a Trader subscription lapses and drops the included-member allowance — the app suspends however many members it needs to fit the new capacity. Suspension runs oldest-joined first, and the Owner is never suspended.
A suspended member:
- Keeps their row in the members table, marked Suspended rather than Active.
- Loses access to the portfolio until a seat frees up.
- Has their default portfolio reassigned automatically if this was it.
Owners and Managers see a banner with a Manage seats action that leads to Settings → Plan & Billing, where adding seats restores access.
Suspension is automatic and silent from the member’s point of view — they simply lose access. If you are reducing seats on a shared portfolio, tell the affected people first.
Where invite codes come from
Invite codes are not created by hand — there is no “generate code” button. The app mints them automatically from your portfolio’s seat capacity, and the number of codes visible at any moment equals the number of unfilled seats.
- Your plan includes a base number of members per portfolio, and you can buy extra seats under Settings → Plan & Billing.
- Buying seats immediately makes new codes appear; reducing seats removes the newest unused codes.
- Each code is single use — it disappears the moment someone joins with it.
- Codes do not expire, and they are not tied to an email address: anyone holding the string can redeem it.
- When a member leaves or is removed, their seat frees up and a fresh code is minted.
Owners and Managers can view and copy active codes on the portfolio’s Invites tab. To add someone, send them a code — they redeem it with Join with code on their Portfolios screen.
Because there is no targeted revoke, a leaked code can only be removed by reducing your seat count, which prunes the newest unused codes. Share codes directly with the intended person rather than posting them anywhere public.
With your workspace fully configured and your team ready, it’s time to hunt for opportunities. Learn how to filter and find live setups in the Market Screener guide.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers based on this page's topic.
Managers possess operational control to manage all workspace trades, patterns, plans, transactions, and lower-tier user roles, whereas Traders can only create and manage their own personal trades while maintaining view-only access to broader workspace data.
The Active Exposure metrics in the Member Performance Table track real-time open position metrics—including Potential Loss % and relative drawdown limits—allowing managers to quickly spot over-leveraged traders.
Only the Owner can alter core portfolio parameters (such as workspace base currency or daily maximum loss limits), transfer full portfolio ownership, view and share invite codes, or permanently delete the workspace.
