Before you can start tracking your trades and improving your performance, you will need to create a free account.
Your Privacy Matters: We know that entering personal information online can be daunting. Please rest assured that we do not sell your data. The information you provide is used strictly to keep your account secure and make the app function properly for you (like making sure your trade times match your local clock).
This guide will walk you through creating an account, logging in, and recovering your password if you ever forget it.
Creating a New Account (Sign Up)
To get started, navigate to the Sign Up Page.
When you arrive, you will see a form asking for a few basic details. Here is exactly what each field means:
- Name: Your first name or a nickname. This is just how we will greet you inside the app.
- Email address: Your primary email. Make sure it is one you check regularly, as you will need it to log in and reset your password if you lose access to your account.
- Password: Choose a strong password that you do not use on other websites. Click the small “eye” icon inside the box if you want to see the password you are typing.
- Country: Select where you currently live.
- Timezone: This is very important! Select your local time zone so that when you log a trade, the times match up perfectly with your charts. Afterwards you will be able to change this option in Account Settings.
- Referral Code (Optional): If a friend invited you to the app, type their code here. If not, you can leave this completely blank.
- Terms & Privacy Checkbox: Click this small square to agree to our basic rules after you read them.
- Security Checkbox (Cloudflare): Click the box that says “Success!” or “Verify.” This is just a standard security check to prove you are a real human and not an automated robot trying to create fake accounts.
Once everything is filled out, click the big Create your free account button at the bottom.
Logging Into Your Account (Sign In)
If you already have an account, or if you are returning for another trading session, you will use the Sign In Page.
To access your dashboard:
- Enter the Email address you used when you registered.
- Enter your Password.
- Check the Remember me box if you are using your own personal computer. This keeps you logged in so you don’t have to type your password every day. (Note: Do not check this if you are using a public or shared computer).
- Complete the security check and click Sign in.
Resetting a Lost Password
It happens to the best of us! If you can’t remember your password, don’t worry. You can easily reset it on the Forgot Password Page.
To get back into your account:
- Click the blue Forgot password? link on the main Sign In screen.
- Type your account’s Email address into the box.
- Complete the security check to prove you are human.
- Click Send reset link.
Check your email inbox. You will receive a secure link from Trading Metrics that will allow you to type in a brand new password.
